Like many families on the mountain, we rely on firewood as a primary source of heat during the cold months. Before we started Watters Firewood Cords, every year seemed like an unnecessary battle.

The vendor from last year didn’t answer his phone. The vendor we called this year didn’t show up when he said he would, and when he did his wood was either of bad quality or not a true cord. Firewood is sold out of trucks on the side of busy roads, or in parking lots. The final price is never what is advertised. The process was just never as smooth as we felt it should have been.

For us, firewood is about more than warmth. It’s about the comfort of seeing your stack and knowing the evening is going to be a cozy one. It’s about creating moments in time that don’t require electronics. It’s about remembering that some things in life should just be easy. We started Watters Firewood Cords because we felt that access to quality firewood should be simple, affordable, and reliable.
